I’ve never watched a Cboys video and thought, “Aw, no, please don’t wreck this machine.” We know most of their vehicles are destined for the dump, and we accept it. And I certainly never thought I’d feel like that about Street Glide and/or Road Glide—yet here we are.
Hell’s Gate is one of the most infamous climbs in Moab Utah, and after successfully climbing it on a Yamaha R6 and mini bikes, the lads decided to up the ante on a couple of Harley-Davidsons. The problem is, the Harley the lads usually use finally gave in, or at least its transmission did. So, on the way to Moab, they picked up some pristine units, one of which cost $10,500.
Unfortunately, there will be some of you who can’t bear to watch what the Cboys put these Harleys through, but if it makes you feel any better, they showcased just how capable a Harley is with the right set of tires on it.
There were some concerns surrounding the build quality of the luggage as the lads rattled the bikes to within an inch of their lives on the way to Hell’s Gate. I’d also add that this video shows the closest I’ve ever seen to one of the Cboys being taken out during one of their challenges. With that said, Spenny, who is a professional motocross racer, made it down Hell’s Gate. The only question remaining is did he make it back up?
Now that you’ve seen the result, would you say the attempt was a success or failure? I mean, OK, Spenny needed a little tug but when you consider the ridiculousness of the challenge, should we give the lads this concession? Let’s hear your thoughts in the comments.
